Phone/Office hours

We are available by phone at (941) 343-0210, Monday – Saturday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. If we do not answer, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. In the case of an emergency or if you need to cancel a service, you may call/text at any time and leave a message. Please reserve inquiries during office hours.

Cleaning Hours

Our business comprises commercial and residential clients. Due to the nature of the commercial cleaning business, our workday starts at 4:30 am. We are available for residential cleaning Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with our last clean of the day scheduled no later than 3:30 pm. Commercial cleanings can be scheduled before or after business hours. We offer cleanings before and after parties on any day of the week, but these need to be scheduled in advance to secure availability.

Holidays

We observe New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. When December 24th and 31st fall on a weekday (M-F), we will close at 12:00 pm. If your regular cleaning appointment falls on a public holdiday, we strive to adjust the schedule to serve you on another day before or after the holiday.

Payments

All payments must be made on your scheduled cleaning day or upon receipt of the monthly invoice for service (where agreed). Our cleaning crew is authorized to receive cash or checks in a closed and properly addressed envelope only. If not at home, you can leave the envelope in an easily visible place (countertops, etc.). Please avoid overdue payments. We accept Credit Cards, Cash, Checks, ACH bank transfers, and Zelle. Any returned check will result in a $30 service charge. Credit Card payments will incur a 3% service fee.

Cancellations

Service reliability is extremely important. We will turn down business to not disrupt your regularly scheduled cleaning. Please show the same respect. We request that you give us a minimum of 24 hours advance notice (Monday clients must call before 8:00 pm on the previous Saturday), IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT FOR ANY REASON. Our business number, 941-343-0210, is available to you at all times. Please leave a voicemail in case we cannot answer the phone.

Failure to provide adequate notice of less than 24 hours in advance will result in a late cancellation fee (50% of the regular fee/visit). Since we know that things can happen, we will waive this fee for the first offence and will only apply to the second offence.

Last-minute cancellations and lockouts affect our employees’ livelihoods, and the fee goes to our employees to help cover their lost time and wages due to the cancellation. We understand that circumstances arise that require a cancellation, but if a client has excessive cancellations, we reserve the right to cancel all future cleanings.

Lock Outs

If we arrive at your home and you forgot to leave the door open, leave a key, or the team needs to leave without cleaning for any reason, you will be charged 75% of your regular cleaning cost. Our employees are paid by the number of clients they serve daily, and this fee is necessary to cover their costs. Most of our customers entrust us with a key or access code to their home, a responsibility we take very seriously.

Access to your home

We will make every effort to arrive at your house on time. Because of possible cancellations or prior cleans running longer than expected, we cannot guarantee a specific time. Our teams require timely access to your home to perform their job. We believe the best way to serve you is for you to issue us a house key or access code to electronically safeguard homes. Your key is coded with a number, it is never associated with your street address, and is kept in a locked, secure key box. Circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic, weather, or team illness, may affect our arrival time. Your flexibility and understanding in these situations are greatly appreciated. We will always do our best to keep you informed of any delays we may be experiencing.

House Temperature

So that we don’t melt like snow in the sun, please set your AC to 74°F prior to our arrival. We are happy to readjust the temperature per your written instructions when we leave.

Inclement Weather

In the event of a Hurricane and other poor weather conditions, we may need to skip your cleaning in order to keep our teams safe. We’ll do our best to reschedule to the earliest available appointment.

High to Reach Areas

In our cleaning process, we utilize long dusting tools to reach high areas. Due to insurance policies, we are not permitted to step higher than our 2-step stool or lift heavy objects or furniture. This does not apply to outside window cleaning.

Hygiene Products

Please dispose of bodily fluid hygiene products appropriately. Please wrap up in paper/tissues and toss in a lined canister for easy disposal. We wear gloves to protect ourselves, but we will not be picking up any that may be lying on the floor. (It’s happened!)

Syringes

Should any member of your household require the use of syringes, please ensure that they are disposed of safely. Any secure container, like a coffee can, could be used to store used syringes and/or needles before disposal. Any unexpected stab from an insecure needle can pose serious health concerns to our staff.

Confidential Documents and Illegal Substances

To protect our cleaners and your privacy, please be sure that any confidential or potentially illegal documents or substances are put away before your scheduled cleaning.

Damage or Breakage

We make every effort to take the greatest care while in your home, but we understand accidents happen. Identical replacement is always attempted, but cannot be guaranteed. We request that all valuable, irreplaceable, collectible, or heirloom items (whether monetarily or sentimentally valued) be stored and/or not cleaned by our team. Damaged or broken items must be reported to the Sarasota Cleaning office within 24 hours of service. Note: Sarasota Cleaning is not responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. All surfaces (e.g., marble, granite, etc.) are assumed sealed and ready to be cleaned without causing harm.

Therefore, we guarantee all of our cleaning services. Any necessary adjustments must be reported to our office within 24 hours of the cleaning date for resolution by one of our cleaning staff members.

Termination

Notice Period: Either party may terminate the cleaning service contract with a verbal or written notice of 7 [seven] days. The notice period allows for a smooth transition and ensures that both parties have ample time to make alternative arrangements. Acceptable means of termination are mail, letters, or emails, sent to our company address or email address. Phone calls will be accepted as well.

Reasons for Termination: Sarasota Cleaning reserves the right to terminate the contract if there is a repeated violation of our policies or if the client engages in abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff. Late payments over 80 days will automatically lead to the cancellation of the service agreement.
